designer / developer / builder
From 2014-2019, I worked as the operations manager for a rustic youth camp in northern Vermont. Across 54 acres of remote woodland foothills, I maintained land, facilities and designed new structures to integrate with camp programming.
After collegiate study and employment in the field of web development, I felt an arrestive call to be working with my hands in nature. The expanse of responsibilities in that role kept me engaged and busy. Most importantly, I was able to discover the work that keeps me happiest and driven: the process of design and build.
I’m drawn to the challenge of blending needs, functionality and aesthetics into practical solutions. I create answers through thoughtful design, attention to usability and consideration of resources.
Now under way with a career in timber framing, I still look to balance my breadth of skills—both in our world and the digital realm. The scope of work I can provide is vast—from consulting to design to building and development.
In launching my freelance, independent work, I’m excited to share my experience with you and your projects.
